The Short Version

We help you plan food plots using your location and photos. Our soil estimates come from public surveys and may differ from your actual dirt. We are not a lab, not agronomists, and not a government agency. Use common sense and follow all product labels.

1. User Agreement & Acceptance

By creating an account or using Foodplots.ai (“the App,” “we,” “us”), you (“User,” “you”) agree to these Terms of Service, the User Agreement, and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App. You must be at least 18 years old, or 13+ with verifiable permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

2. What the App Does — and Does Not — Do

The App provides general educational planting guidance, estimated soil information derived from publicly available soil survey data, seed-label interpretation, and an AI assistant (“Buck”). All output is informational only. Estimated soil data is a prediction based on your approximate location and is not a substitute for a certified laboratory soil test. Growing results depend on weather, management, wildlife, and many factors outside our control. We do not guarantee germination, yield, plot success, or any particular outcome.

3. AI Assistant (“Buck”)

Buck is an automated assistant and may occasionally be wrong or incomplete. Do not rely on Buck for decisions involving chemicals, equipment safety, pesticide/herbicide application, legal compliance, or financial commitments without independent verification. Always read and follow the manufacturer’s label, which is the law.

4. Photos & User Content

You may upload photos of soil, lab reports, and product labels. You confirm you have the right to upload them. You keep ownership of your content; you grant us a limited license to process it to provide the service (for example, to read a label and generate a recommendation). Do not upload anything unlawful or that infringes others’ rights.

5. Location Data

To estimate soil data we use the address, town, or intersection you provide. You are responsible for having the right to share any location you enter. You can delete a property and its associated data at any time.

6. No Professional Advice

The App does not provide agronomic, legal, environmental, veterinary, or financial advice. For decisions with real stakes, consult a certified agronomist, your local agricultural extension office, or a licensed professional. Follow all federal, state, and local laws, including hunting, land-use, seed, and chemical regulations.

7. Third-Party Links & Products

The App links to third-party sites and services, including PlotPlanz.com, and may reference third-party seed products and brands. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices. Brand and product names are the property of their respective owners; reference does not imply endorsement or affiliation.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Foodplots.ai and its owners, employees, and partners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost plots, crops, profits, or data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the prior 12 months (or $50 if you paid nothing).

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Foodplots.ai from claims arising out of your use of the App, your content, or your violation of these terms or any law.

11. Privacy Policy (Summary)

We collect the information you provide (property locations, photos, chat messages) and basic usage data to run and improve the App. We do not sell your personal information. We may use trusted service providers to process data (for example, mapping, soil-survey, and AI services). You may request deletion of your data. Photos and locations you add are stored to show your properties back to you and are removed when you delete them.

12. Analytics & Usage Data

To understand what's useful and improve the App, we record analytics events about how the App is used — for example, which screens are viewed, which seed brands and mixes are searched or analyzed, the general locations soil is looked up for, and the questions asked of Buck. Where possible this information is aggregated and de-identified, and we use it to improve recommendations and product selection. We may use third-party analytics providers (such as a privacy-focused web analytics service) to help. Depending on your region, you may have the right to opt out of non-essential analytics; you can contact us through the App to do so, and we honor applicable "Do Not Track" and consent signals where required by law.

13. Changes, Termination & Contact

We may update these terms; continued use means acceptance of the updated terms. We may suspend or end access for misuse. Questions? Contact support through the App. Governing law and venue will be the state where Foodplots.ai is organized, unless your local law requires otherwise.
